Last night, Friday December 12th 2008, I went to the Warren Theater here in Moore, Ok again and saw the movie “The Day The Earth Stood Still” starring Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly rated PG-13. The movie is about a renowned scientist (Jennifer Connelly) who finds herself face to face with an alien called Klaatu (Keanu Reeves), who has traveled across the universe to warn the earth of an impeding global crisis. She quickly discovers the deadly ramifications of Klaatu’s claim that he is “a friend to the Earth.” Meaning that he would do anything to save the Earth, including destroying the species of humans. You see it is the humans who are destroying the Earth. Now she must find a way to convince Klaatu who was sent to destroy the human race that mankind is worth saving, but it may be too late.
I enjoyed the movie and would recommend that you go see it. I enjoy Keanu Reeves movies as he is one of my favorite actors. Jennifer Connelly’s acting was superb also. I would rate the movie a 4 out of 5 stars. If you have any comments then please post them.
